Bike Karma - Dawes Concorde

Earlier this week, I made the error of mistaking a beautifully crafted , filet brazed Alves, mountain bike for a Dawes...Sorry again @The History Man !! (If you squint - Alves looks like the 'awes' of Dawes though - although admittedly nothing about the rest of the bike does :-)) Anyway, I am a strong believer in Bike Karma, that often although you think you have found a gem, it is actually the bike that finds you. I believe this because bikes I love have come to me in sometimes unusual ways and from unusual or unexpected sources.

Is it superstitious nonsense?? shhh, you will anger the bike fairies!!!! Well I must have upset them earlier this week, because this beauty fell into my lap - quite unexpectedly.

I should have said 'no thanks, I have no room', or 'I have already got too many projects on the go'. That is what I had every intention of saying. Then my mind went cloudy and blank for I don't know how long...when I came round, I am finishing putting it in the boot of my car....

Blumels at a jaunty angle... stylish if ineffective...

Not much on the Concorde online - although it must have been one of their higher models - with 531 pipes, Campy Dropouts and Campy derailleurs, would have been desirable kit in its day. Have not track down a date for it yet, but thinking late 50's or early 60's... Not sure yet what to do with it.
A couple of people have suggested 'oily-ragging it'... and I might actually do that with this one!
