Received this yesterday - not to everyone’s taste I’m sure, but it’s a very nice example and can just be admired with very little effort repairing/overhauling etc

1992 Raleigh Apex as god intended, the same as my original one that I had back in 92.

It’s big, it’s heavy, but I get some much pleasure from looking at it due to the nostalgia it brings (which I guess is why most of us are here right!)

Also makes me appreciate just how much nicer my Cinder Cone really is out on the road

Agreed! I’d say it’s 98% mint. It’s certainly 100% original I believe (saddle?)

There are some very very minimal scratches, the crank arm on the left has a slight bit of rub , the seat post etching is marked and the decals are a bit tatty (nothing Gil couldn’t rectify), but I’m just going to leave this as is I think and relish in its originality and completeness
