Big MTB brands as I remember them

trek opened up a trek only store in milton keynes (maybe something to do with them being based in milton) but i remember when we were a trek dealer they were funny about us selling marins and if we wanted to sell a klein we had to make sure that any klein dealer within a certain radius of us were ok with it! (that was in london) but in milton keynes there is a trek dealer less than 2 miles away from the main trek store and i have noticed that specialized have opened up specialized fit? centres across the uk. there is an evans store here which sells everything other than mainstream stuff they have no konas, specialized, trek, marins ect but sell lapierre, cannondale, pinnacle ect but on thier website they list the lot. the other bike shop in milton seems to lean towards the road market selling trek and specialized and the other store sells only giants it seems. muddy fox i think went down the pan when toysrus started flogging them (literally) and halfords took gt and saracen but seem to push carrera heavily(own brand i guess). i seem to remember that most frames made in taiwan were made by giant and rebadged. these are only my observations and not based on any facts.
