Biffy clyro

Calling the mac retro massiv. Just heard biffy clyro for the first time. Actually really liked them- i'd avoided them in the part surely because of their name- i just expected them to be terrible. Shouldn't be so closed minded i know! Anyway. I was suprised to hear that the singer sings in what appeared to be a strong american accent! Are they normally like that coz it really annoys me when british bands do that. My mrs says its not american and heard lots of scottish. What's the score mac people

They sound pretty Scottish to me, not really noticed an American accent in their stuff.

Marmaduke Duke is one of their other projects.

I've only heard a bit of their stuff, thought it was so-so, will listen to more, knew they were Scottish though.

Mt friend Gary was jamming with them when they were in Brighton at the gig on the beach there. e is one of these amazing guitarists that every band would love to have. Then the bugger tells me to come across and meet them so i did; we then proceeded to get drunk together at the Pav Tav

Mon the Biffy...

The 1st two albums; Blackened Sky, and The Vertigo of Bliss are by far their best. The newer stuff is all abit radio friendly.

Saw them live at Swansea Patti Pavilion in 2004 and Bristol Anson Rooms in 2006. Amazing live.

I thought they must be American!!

Didn't like the 'new' one on first listen but its growing on me now just like the big orchestra one played a lot before. i might even buy the album on good old CD, the best.


Rumoured to be based on Cliffys Biro... ??
