im jealous now...the only thing i have in my local park drinks cheap cider.... :D

The park rinks are public. Backyard rinks are popular too. Some people go WAY over the top with them. This two family/two yard one as example. We take our hockey seriously. :D

The man has his own Zamboni!!!

Want!!!

My son plays ice hockey for Romford Hurricanes (junior hockey U14's) and I love watching the Zamboni

Did anyone watch the Bbc the other night about "feckless fathers" one of them could not remember the names of his 8 children with 8 different women? He's probably never done a days work in his life whilst I've been in employment since I left school at 16 and now I'm 38 never been without work and I'm paying tax etc to pay for him to father as many kids he can - surely he should be given a free snip op? In fact I'd pay for him probably cost me less in the long run.

Whilst I'm on one, how can 16 yr old girls get a council flat/house paid for by the govt having never paid tax or national insurance? Just because it's their choice to get knocked up? I'm sure some of them have kids as a fashion statement.

This government makes me sick, the more you work the more they take.

Just to point out, things have started to change already under the "new" government, the problems above absolutley disgust me as well.....but remember who caused it.....do gooders and labour voters......

I'm trying to convince my wife we need to emigrate but she's thinking of the kids and being too far away. Ones 21 and stays at his g/friends. The others 16 and starting college. Eldest pops in once a fortnight and the youngest is in his bedroom or out so hardly see them anyway.

I'd love to retire to Canada but got no chance, maybe South of France.
I sound like a Scooby Doo bad guy "those pesky kids"!!

i left years ago..my bdy overslept and decided to stay.. :D

I'm staying in the UK, as I have not yet given up with it, and I have tried other countries, and one thing I know, the grass is not greener over there.

But, where would we be and how would we be feeling if it wasn't for the media, an industry that depends on doom and gloom. If the media was not such a big influence in our lives, perhaps we would just get on with our own lives and take that as it comes and not worry about the things we can do nothing about, but count our blessings for what we do have in our lives.

Anyway, regards emigrating, a childhood pal who emigrated to Australia has just lost his house, it got washed away in the floods. Here, is pretty safe compared t other places in the world.
