Now, she cannot put didley squat in order on behalf of her constituants, they have been robbed.

Perhaps she will stand as an MP independently next election, and actually represent some constituents..

Cabinet members get the sack as soon as they rebel anyway. Any power in her position is theoretical.

Still, never trust a tory.

How precisely does a Baroness have any constituents?

And even if she was an MP she would be in the sane position as any other back bench MP - leaving her constituents no worse off.

It's a different topic but I tend to think one of the strengths of the house of lords is that they can express their principles more easily with less come back.

In the paper this morning a little girl from Gaza with serious heart problems is coming to the UK for medical treatment. As tragic as her case is, is it really the responsibility of the UK to treat people like her?

So what are other Muslim countries doing about the suffering in Gaza, apart from wanting the destruction of Israel? Not a lot as far as I can tell. Any humanitarian aid provided by the West will end up with Hamas and the ISS and not with the innocents who really need it.

I also heard in the news this week that women with breast cancer in the UK are being denied and refused a drug which could prolong their life for up to 2 years which is a long time particularly if they already have young children. These families have probably paid tax and National Insurance in the UK all their lives, as have their parents, grandparents and great grandparents.

Baroness Whatshername is a waste of space, Good riddance.

Political career[edit]
Warsi was the Conservative parliamentary candidate for Dewsbury at the 2005 general election, becoming the first Muslim woman to be selected by the Conservatives. During the election campaign she was criticised for election literature which was described as "homophobic" by the gay equality group Stonewall.[8] Though she was unsuccessful in her 2005 election bid, she served as a Special Adviser to Michael Howard for Community Relations, and was appointed by David Cameron as Vice Chair of the Conservative Party with specific responsibility for cities.

Prospective parliamentary candidate (PPC) is a term used in British politics to refer to the selection of candidates by political parties to fight individual constituencies in advance of a general election.

cut from wiki, saves me typing.^

Ok, not the position resigned from and a better term of position needed by me, so i'll start again. Either way she is looked up to and represents populous in previous or, more previous political posts held.

Humble beginings!

Re:

Yes, i've phrased the whole representation thing wrong. She rep'd uk government, the same government in which the country we live in.

Again, A baroness gave up on politics on personal grounds.

On 5 August 2014, Warsi resigned from the Government citing concerns that she was no longer able to support the Cameron Government's policy on the escalation of violence in the Israel–Gaza conflict, describing the Government's position as "morally indefensible". In her resignation letter, Warsi wrote that the UK Government's "approach and language during the current crisis in Gaza is morally indefensible.

My hat is staying on.

I'll leave it at that.

I guess you could indeed argue she represented the people who voted for her party. Fair enough. I happen to think she is quite fit.

should have gone to spec savers.

Yeah, if you get here you get NHS Treatment.

Then it sounds like the NHS needs the ability to spend it's funding in an appropriate manner.

Returning the NHS to an efficient, vertically integrated business model would work. As is most of the NHS' funding gets skimmed off as profit for all the companies they're forced to outsource to.

Fix that, then there'll be plenty of money for cancer drugs and anything else you can think of. Implying we're wasting what we've got on some "undeserving" little girl from a war torn country is just disgusting.
