Yes thicker at bottom, outside diameter at bottom will be 30mm if its a direct swap with a Marzocchi steerer as previous DNM's I own are.

I have a few rst steerers (steel ones) if you don't want to buy them just for the steerer.

28.6 flared to 30mm for the crown and 230mm long please

I might have a spare RST crown and alloy steerer - will have a look. Might get them made up into rigid forks though. Will see.

Just got mine, they're heavy but I am most impressed with the look and feel of them. They have a quality industrial feel to them. I reckon they'll look good on my Trek Y5 which in my head is evolving into my trail centre bike.
