Bad ebay experience

All you guys from overseas that have never used USPS to ship internationally have no clue. Quote all you want from websites but until you get stiffed on a item or have pissed off people I would suggest you keep your assumptions to yourself you really don't know what you are talking about.

Different services are available at roughly double to triple the costs. Put that on a eBay listing and zero people internationally will bid. Been tere done that.

Anyway, go ahead and type out some responses and quote some sites. I still won't send a item internationally unless I know the buyer personally.

Back to the start. I think John's issue was that he had arranged an address in the USA for the item to be shipped to. Then the seller invoiced him for international shipping, thus stating that they were happy to ship internationally. Then 2 weeks later, changed their mind without giving John the option to get the item shipped to the address in the USA.

Won't somebody think about the cables?

Grahame is right. I had arranged to get the cables shipped in the US. The seller invoiced me for international post which I duly paid for. 2 weeks later no cables, no contact. He was jolly rude too.

Anyway I can understand someone being unwilling to send big money items internationally. Having sent stuff all around the world I know it's a hassle. But in this case it wasn't a NOS Cunningham or the Ark of The Covenant. It was a set of brake cables.

After over 4 years waiting you must be overjoyed that now you can get those white cables locally!
