V. Nicely done. I like these - lugged, and check out the star bottle-brazeons and window seat stay bridge. Even OG outfits like Rivendell are struggling to keep steel frame details affordable, and you can pick up 80s quality for nowt.

Great thread. I read it earlier today whilst waiting for an offer to be accepted on a courier, which it was. If mine cleans up half a well as yours I’ll be happy. It’s going to be fun and a bit of a different project for me. I’m usually bmx and the odd road bike.

Thanks for all the comments it's been a great project to work on taking me back to being that 13 year old kid, i'm going to enjoy going on some leisurely cruises along the seafront.
So what's next, well fast forward to 1989 and this dream bike was in the catalogue, black with white splatter paint,full Reynolds 531 lightweight tubing and the all singing all dancing 21 speed Shimano Deore XT ll groupset for 89,this was a dream bike for me, and now all these years later i finally own one,The 1989 Raleigh Avanti
