Yeah if you are looking for rules about what makes a bike look "correct ", I might not be your guy. I'm just interested in making them look good and function, not follow what's "proper". As evidence, the photo I provided earlier as an example of grips, saddle, and black post looking good had a dropper post. I don't even know what "double or quits" is, let alone "culture". Do what is right for you
 
Well i think it's ready now to fit the cassette and chain and cable the bike up.
Done a couple of changes, polished up the brake levers,swapped the bars for some Fisher Bulge bars i still had off my old 88 HooKooeKoo and fitted some comfy old grab ons i had lying around. And saying i'll just be going for leisurely cruises along the coast on it for chilled out rides i fitted a Avocet Touring saddle what was in the cave.
