I did find a Daves Yates Diabolo frame ages ago that i'd forgot i had, it was buried under a load of tyres i was looking through
The wheels were the best i've now got loads of Deore XT wheels because i kept forgetting i had them
It was a culmination of buying them when i seen some for sale thinking they'll come in handy and buying some for a build but never doing the build so everything just kept being put in the cave at the back. Then over time other things get put in there and things get buried, you can see there's wheels but can't see what they are but to get to them you have to shift loads of stuff which you can't be bothered to do lol
Curiosity got the better of me one day because i could see what looked like a yellow Mavic label on anodised rims,turns out they were Mavic Oxygens on XT hubs which is what you see on my Vulcan
Next thing there's Mavic 231's on XT, RM20's on XT, RM17's on XT, Vantage on XT etc etc it was like winning the retrobike lottery
The good thing about the cave is when you find something it feels like you've just bought a new part because you've never seen it for years lol
Found some Marin Rockstar forks yesterday whilst digging around totally forgot i had them then it dawned on me, that's right i bought them for the 94 Team Marin but they didn't fit so in the cave they went lol
