Afternoon all,

Just a quick q, can anyone tell me what the axle length of the BB "should" be on a 94/95 steel Kona?

I'm offshore just now and wanting to get the projects underway when I get back to the beach, so I'm busy buying drivetrain parts online. I know its a 68mm shell, and I've heard it might be a 113mm axle? I know it depends on which particular cranks are being fitted but I'm just curious as to whether there was a standard length.

Cheers peeps :)

I have used both 107 and 110 with Shimano and Sugino Cranks, daresay you could get away with a 113 too, but cannot say for certain.

If you are going modern'ish Octalink require 113 not 118 unless its a particular model of LX which takes a 121

Hmmm might just leave the BB off the list till I get back then, and give the bike a measure up. Its gonna be old skool square taper stuff anyhoo

the cindercones ive got came with sugino cranks had 113mm but ive just fitted a curve crank to another and it needed somthing longer so i used 118 which worked fine
