So , this AV ballot thing.
I've not recieved a ballot paper for myself or my wife.
Anybody know who distributes them? Or who to contact?
Is it a council thing or local government?
I want to vote but i can't :(

As long as you are registered to vote I think all you have to do is chip to your local polling station?

We don't have any ballot papers either...

Ballot card and polling card aren't the same..

Unless the OP means polling card and not the box to put the tick in . . . :?

just been
mrs had thrown her polling card out
they do it by address which gives a code e.g AD2

so she just had to say her adress to them and name, and they gave her they grey ballot slip - to vote for av
and the peach slip - to vote for local party

edit: at the local polling station this was
they have a register there

Still dunno whether to vote yay or nay...

Don't think AV (from my, probably, limited grasp of how it all works) is much better, if at all, than FPTP.. but if I vote 'No', it kind of indicates that I'm happy with FPTP...

i voted no to av because of you idb1! haha

you said why should you first preference have equal weight to someone elses second preference
that swung it for me
and besides, i dont think you can get hung parliament with av right?

and hung is pretty good -
all the parties should just join really and get on with each other - ideally

It's strange to me that all parties use AV to choose their leaders via several voting rounds, yet even the Tories don't consider it suitable for us ... :?
