Au revoir Konamad

Oh dear

I'm going to sail against the wind a little here. I have both bought from and sold items to Dave and yes he liked a haggle (but don't we all?) but I have always got what I wanted, as described, without fuss. I was often suprised to see other people having bother with him.
Its pretty hard to piss off such a mellow community as the Retriobike crew so I guess I'm quite suprised again that it has come to this. A shame. I'll wish him all the best and hope that if he has upset the good folk on here that he learns and moves on.

Yea, but then dont scammers through a few 'good' deals in here and there so as not to raise too much suspicion??

Did daj get his Pro-Flex do we know? I understand he was having delivery issues, and PM's not being returned!

I'm sure Konamad's new venture will prove to be a success for him – after all, surely the key to running a good retail outlet is communication, consideration, cooperation and timely delivery all at a good price.

Don't know what all the fuss is about.

Only had one dealing with him and that was less than satisfactory, admittedly I did get the majority of my cash back in the end.

Personally would have liked to seen him gone ages ago and pleased he has now.
Really hate seeing generous and kind people taken advantage of and always felt that's what he did on here.

Have to say, like Huntso, I only dealt with Konamad once, then he was on my very short mental list of people not to deal with in the future. The vast majority of people on here are fantastic when its comes to honest descriptions, prices and delivery...he was not one of them from my experience.
So he likes to buy and sell and make a bit of pocket money...no problems there...I do it myself a wee bit...but I feel he did it in a covert manner.
So he bought the Stars and Stripes Hot for £350...good deal, well done.
But why be so sly about it.
He must have seen the thread about it, and that people were bidding etc....why not just post a reply on the thread...'sorry guys, managed to get it for XYZ from the guy as he lived done the road from me' etc.
Good luck with his venture...the site looks pretty good in this early rough version.....but I won't be going there

:? Did you buy it Paul...or did he pay more :?:

The seller told me he sold it for £500; we were already in discussion about it and i'd made an offer. While he was sorting better pics he came back and said he'd been offered £500 for it. I told him that was a good price and that he should take it - i guess i should have told him to hold out for £649!

yep that hot frame is great - real bargain too!

really wierd how i just lived 2 mins from the guys house all that time and never saw him out on it!

only gave £350 in the end for a quick sale as he wanted it to stay round here!!

sold it now anyway!

Oh I see....just more billy bullshit then

Sad to see this on here, Like others have said, being honest is an absolute must.

I did deal with dave once- I had a few issues- He tried to change the deal (more money) after I had paid, it did take 4 weeks to get the bike (said it was posted when it was not) and the bike did have a few mechanical problems that were not mentioned but I got the bike in the end and I just put it down to a busy guy trying to do too much.

However seems like he thought he was a bit of a geezer and I am not to sad to see him go.
