anyone into trails bikes? - of the motor kind

2001 280 Gas Gas in my garage.

Great fun if you have somewhere to ride that you won't get chased from.

Nice friendly scene at the trials events too.

Isn't Somerled on here a trials instructor\mechanic ?

He'd be the man to ask I reckon.

I was only giving my two bobs worth.

I'm into trials bikes so I replied. I'm sure Somerled is into trials as well so mentioned his name in case it was any help to the o.p.

Aye I know, I didn't mean it to sound that way.

Just when you said that I began to think maybe there was some advice being requested by the o.p., so I read back.

Off road biking of both kinds kind of go hand in hand in my experience. If you started riding scramblers or trials bikes your natural choice would be a mountain bike.

Same goes the other way.

Saying that I rode scramblers before MTBs were available as such, but I am sure I would have got one had they been around.

I think it is a great idea to get a trials bike to share with someone else, they are toys after all and unless you are competitive a few hours a week is going to give you that fix.

The only area of bikes I have taken a step back from is sports bikes, long story but I won't be riding them anymore.

Andy would seem to be a long served trials rider, it is great to have that kind of knowledge available here.

Don't know about yer taste in tub thumpers though.

:)

Just old, fella, just old.........

You have a few years on me, but that does not make you old.

Have you ever been up here for the sled dog rally?

If you venture up for that give me a bell, you can take that Funduro for a burn.

:)
