anyone into trails bikes? - of the motor kind

im loving the gas gas 280 trail bikes, even though i wont be able to ride one as they are meant to be ridden!

Have you ever been up here for the sled dog rally?

I haven't been in Scotland for sled dog racing since 1989 - at Glenmore Forest. The event then was a shadow of what it is now, of course, as far as the number of entrants go anyway.
I used to prefer the longer events, like the one that the Eskimo Dog Club used to organise at Clocaenog Forest in North Wales, as you could be out in the forest for 3 or 4 hours, compared to a few minutes for a 4 mile sprint race. It seemed to make the expense of travelling with a team (ferry crossing for van+trailer) more worthwhile. Plus there was navigation involved too (in the race, I mean).
