Anyone for a 1939 Raleigh?

Thought this might make you laugh.

If you had $45,000 to spend on transport, which would you choose?

1. 1939 Raleigh Superbe

2. 2001 Aston Martin DB7 (& $1500 spending money)

I like old Raleighs a lot, but I think on balance I'd go for the Aston!

That Raleigh has been for sale for about a year. For an additional $3000 you could have this home in the Dallas, Fort Worth area of Texas.

Without looking further, how does a 1939 unrestored Raleigh have a 1949 on headset?
I thought by 1939 if there is a superbe model it would have had 26" wheels and a brazed up frame, I might look at the catalogues.
I am surprised we didn't have to wade through 50 pages of nonsense before getting the price.
I think I have seen this before, it was only about £4000.
