Prawn madras mmmm with crispy onion bhagees and naan
No problem getting good curry here spoilt for choice. Some of the less good places have too much sauce which is artificially coloured and thickened with peanut ending up quite granular ! No such nonsense at Anoki my current favorite.
We have excellent Thai here and in Burton on Trent.

Until two years ago I had never eaten curry !! Not even a tiny bit had passed my pursed lips  until.......I had to go and work in Birmingham for eighteen months ! A sign from above ? Or destiny  well what ever it was I'm now a curry addict  I will get it whenever I can !!
So maybe having to work away wasen't such a bad thing......hummmm

Re:

Absolutely - any fish curry, in particular fish karahi with a full pot of dall tarka! Can also be persuded by a lamb Ghost Alubukhara - made with plumbs - senstational dish made at my local restaurant.

Interestingly, we have a work curry every friday lunch made by a colleagues wife, we pay a paltry £5 and she does the rest. Last week we had this as pudding http://www.whats4eats.com/desserts/gajar-halwa-recipe - magnificent and the perfect aftermath after a traditionally made curry!

I find that different parts of the country have very different takes on the same dishes, sometimes good, sometimes not so much. You have to try them though!

Not a curry addict but do like to visit our local award winning Indian restaurant, which happens to be a five-minute walk up the road. Best I have ever tasted. Had my 50th bash there a few weeks back - Ajwani Salmon - Chicken Balti -Cobra beer. Feeling hungry!
