I wore out my rear pads handbraking into t-junctions last winter - the customers enjoyed it.
I can now powerslide my front wheel drive Passat too if need be.

I still remember, one year, mushing from home for 14 miles over the hills and down to a pub, leaving the team snubbed outside while I went in for a couple of whiskys and then driving back home again.
I stopped on the way home to take a few photographs. There was nowhere that a snowhook would have held, so I snubbed to a fence post and walked back the way we'd come to get a few pics. of the sled and team. Big mistake, as everyone who's ever driven dogs knows - don't do this!!
They spotted a blue hare and tried to go after it - I turned round to get back to the sled but the surface was so icy and the wind so strong that I had to crawl back, all the time hoping that the post would hold until I got to the sled.
It didn't, but luckily after ripping out about 30 metres of old sheep wire they did eventually stop...... :roll:
