Another 1950’s adventure (Viking Ian Steel Model)

Thanks for rack advice.

Decided on black.

Anodised worn off braking surfaces, think silver slivers add to the overall look.

Did some routine maintenance today, was surprised (even shocked!) to find that a few rear wheel spokes were really loose.

Hadn’t noticed because wheel was still running true.

Just going to mention that Cyclo Benelux mark 7 front rod shifter (1953) works really well.
My 1953 Holdsworth Whirlwind was originally 5 speed so no braze on for FD shifter.
I originally also tried Cyclo Benelux tourist 5 speed rear but the action is too heavy for me so went SunTour Cyclone mk1 GT.

50/32 + 13-32 (SunTour New Winner ultra 6)
