...a renegade road bike....the one which all the club roadies we passed really hated. The Gary Klein genuflection to tarmac.....

The Grom said ‘...oooooooooh.....’ . Purple-green metal flake.

So we dusted it down, took off the lethal 105 rear wheel (pretzel special) and put a Very Loud Hope on the back, DT rim.

That looks pretty tidy to me!

By the thread description I was expecting an Atco lawn mower, covered with cobwebs - or something like that. I wouldn't mind one of those either to be honest :)

I know it looks shiny now but it had a quite a lot of dust on it despite the dust sheets. It was one of the bikes which I had not forgotten about, but hadn't exactly thought much about since I stopped road riding about a decade ago. The Grom wants to do some distance on the local roads, and since he is now my height (grrrr...at 14) it seemed like a good idea to dig it out and get it running. Which actually only needed a small amount of cleaning and fettling to achieve. So it's up early tomorrow and out....
