amp spacing question

I recently scored an ampB3/Mongoose Amplifier of the 'bay, the rear end appears to be spaced for a 130mm rear hub. This surprises me as my existing Amplifier is spaced at 135 :?

Before I get creative with the big tools can anyone advise if there were differences between models?

I also have a XT m732 hub that is 135mm is this correct?

Any advice gratefully received.

Just measured the rear spacing on my Amp B2 w/ calipers. It's 135mm. Unless the factory offered different spacing, perhaps the previous owner bent the stays in more to fit the a 130mm hub?

I was thinking something similar as the dropout on the seatstay has had the usual welding to strengthen it done, but this part is relatively flexible. The width is set by the chainstay part and as this is very stiff it appears as though this part is original and is what dictates the axle width.

Not sure I "know" the answer but can attest to the fact that my B2, B3 and B4 all have 135mm spaced rear dropouts. I can't say I've ever actually seen the dropout spacing listed anywhere though.

Few 130mm rears from BITD. Early M700 XT was avail in 130mm, as was ringlé et al. .
not common, but definately existed BITD, well before 'road' went 8sp and 130 fom 126. . .
