I'll dig out Brion's e-mail tonight, he always replies straight away and could not be more helpful if he tried, a really nice bloke. As I said you can have a steerer for nowt if you want one, its more than long enough as it came off Orange's bike and he is taller than most trees

Funnily enough,just as i drafted an extremely long letter off to Brion at amp, i noticed a reply from him on a letter id sent a couple of weeks ago
They have the black springs400lbs] and steerers at 260 in length
they also tell that i can press it out using a hydraulic press but when replacing it im to use green loctite[?] for bonding it back in
well straight from the horses mouth, pressing is not only ok but is in fact encouraged
He wants to know what i need, then he;ll work out a price including shipping

What a guy
