Came on a bike I bought recently but are surplus to plans so up for sale they go.

They were bought direct from Amp in 2002 (have sales receipt from original owner who supplied with the bike I bought). Said they were recently serviced as well.

They work well, no play in linkages and damper provides good rebound damping. They are in pretty good condition cosmetically too, a polish would have them gleaming. The previous owner was running a set of hope discs and had modified the original mount to accommodate the calliper. You can see the other 'mount' they used to run is callipers (hope number 3). This has resulted in one of the original calliper mounts being removed (pictured). No problem if you just intend to run v or canti brakes.

Bringing me neatly on to the fact that it comes with the original canti mount (nice and sculpted, my other set have a plain one). Unfortunately the previous owner misplaced one of the brake mounts so you'd need to find another one. I can thrown in a boss, but I don't think it has the right thread pitch.

Steerer is 1 1/8 and 200mm.

Also comes with original service manual as well.

I will also include a set of service kits for the damper and fork. I bought these direct from amp years ago.

After £130 inc UK post. No overseas as since brexit things take an age and the hassle involved in chasing up and opening cases to investigate isn't easy to fit in.

Any questions or info, just ask.

Re:

Still available. Price dropped to include UK postage. The hope brakes that were fitted to this are also available.

Blimey even with the broken bracket (what maniac would use discs on an AMP fork anyway) this is a bargain - and it’s got the brake hanger! Those go for roughly 149.99 gbp each ... rare as a....a...an Amp brake hanger....

Re:

Cheers. The hangers are pretty rare on their own and this one is actually very nice, better than the one on my other set as it seems to be sculpted rather than the square profiled one on my other forks.

Hopefully I can find a new home for it. Trying to avoid hanging on to stuff just because, deserves to adorn a build rather than sitting in a box in my garage.

Ah...the one on mine (now in safe hands in Sussex after sale last summer) also was flat sided - I noticed the machining on your hanger - I guess an Amp machinist had a few minutes to spare one morning and decided to make a nice one. It wouldn’t have been in the afternoon since the moment in Laguna they finished work they would be hurtling off to ride their MX bikes off road....

Apologies for hijacking the post a bit but I'm intrigued by the service kit - would you sell that separately?
