In a word? no

The XT variants from any of the early years come up so infrequently I'd be a foolish collector not to have a punt.

With a bit of work, this could look stunning again. imo.

Out of interest Steve is that a standard headtube or has it had a brace/gusset added at the front?

That lower headtube brace was there on the '92 (and later) aluminium models, in an attempt to reinforce the inherent weak point on these alu frames.

To a certain degree it worked, but I think if you still abused it, it would snap :shock: :shock:
