Sell my Uzzi to a guy in Perth, StarTrackExpress take Uzzi, drop it off outside guy's house whilst he's out without obtaining a signature, bike gets stolen. Bewdy. :cry:

Monday > Thursday -->

Guy in Perth calls me pretty much hourly [can't really blame him on this one] demanding refund, chasing up progress that I don't have whilst the investigation gathers pace. :?

Friday -->

StarTrackExpress have accepted full culpability and have said they'll reimburse me the Market Worth of the Uzzi. I'll refund chap in Perth full amount, everyone's happy*..

Now -->

Drinking the coldest Becks I've ever had about to hook up with my girlie and a few mates for some beers down on the water..

* Well, not happy, but at least no one is down or out of pocket..Guy in Perth ain't happy he never got my Uzzi..

You should put a post in the stolen section on Farkin.

An Uzzi will at least stand out in the crowd more than the usual bike.

I got run over today on my road bike.

Mavic Kysrium ES front wheel, totalled. and i just know the bike shop is going to tell me they can't get rims and spokes.

what do you do in a situation like that just out of interest? Take their insurance details or ask for cash there and then?

More likely they'll tell you that they can but a complete new wheel will be cheaper.

If you're talkoing about the hit, if it were me and assuming I'm in the right I get the police involved.

a) because a police report is required if there are medical claims involved over here, and

b) most of the time the driver will get charged with an offence, making it easy to claim against their insurance.

Good idea; done. Cannot believe the frikken incompetence of the Courier.. Anyways, ball rolling claim-wise at least.. Although I did think the purchaser might have been trying to pull a fast one on me..? :roll:
