Advice needed...

Hi guys,

Hope this is the right area to ask... it's been a while since i was last on here.
I have a restored 1991 Orange Clockwork that I want to sell.
As much as it pains me to do so...

Here is my original thread about the build - http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... p;t=160338

Here are some more pics - http://s1222.photobucket.com/user/wedda ... amp;page=1

Can anyone advise how much it is worth, how much chance I have of selling it, and if it's worth more splitting the bike up?

Thanks in advance

Re:

Ok so:

a) you should have no trouble selling it
b) you'll almost always make more money splitting

Unfortunately having done a full restoration you'll have to be prepared to make nowhere near as much on the frameset as it cost you to refurb it.

As for value I'll leave that to the Orange experts :)

OK, thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

I'll take my chances on the for sale thread!

Re:

As above really, you'll have no trouble moving most of the pats on if you split and should make a decent sum although you'll struggle to make your money back on the frame.

I'd pitch the frame and forks at around £100/150, wheels without tyres £60, thumbies £30, crank £40, mechs £30ish etc.

I wouldn't expect it to sell for more than £200 as a full bike.
