Advice,ideas,suggestions and collective wisdom

Ok after seeing a broken, wrong colour moby going on ebay I have decided to broaden my net and seek the advice of the Retrobike collective.

The scenario is I am looking for a post 27.2mm and was hanging out for a pewter or silver moby. I'm now getting impatient.

So I have a pewter zooka with black syncros bars, polished alu frame with sprinklings of green and red ano, green seat clamp and a white saddle both modern so looking for a retro post. What say you? Green or red post maybe? Black syncros? Continue the search for the elusive moby?

BTW this isn't an unsolicited wanted ad, I am looking for ideas.

Stem and seatpost should ideally be the same colour (IMO).

And bars too. But if any of the three are going to be a diff colour, then the bars should.

(so hang out for a pewter moby......or buy a black zooka... )

Hmmm I know what you mean. I really like the pewter stem so thats a no brainer. Maybe anodise an old post, Mansfeild anodisers does a grey which could match the pewter. :?

but post and stem to match in colour.

I agree, any suggestions of other pewter posts? I've seen the contol tech one on David Gibson's C'dale. Any others?
