adjustable wrenches and the price of cheese, gromit

Re:

Headset is now unstuck :D

The problem is my astonishing lack of a decent adjustable to tackle said situation

Should I stump up for the "big yin", or pick up the 3 set for £20

is 250mm long enough for most applications?

Re:

I bought a Bahco 36mm adjustable in 1988 and it felt VERY expensive. I have used it and used it and used it. It looks exactly the same as the day I bought it. It is brilliant. It has done headsets, cranks, cassettes, gas connections, trailer wheel nuts, and many many more things. It was worth every penny.

Re:

Can't beat a bahco. Probably my favourite tool. Secondhand is fine. You'll only have to buy it once.

Re:

2:1 on the Bahco then... hmm

£60, the plot thickens! Seems decent quality too, I wonder if there's any review and comparison wrench vids I could be not watching yet tuned into.

After spending a couple of hours watching paint dry on youtube
(ace BTW : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10xfzZ7-0MA)

And a little while on anodising and polishing tutorials...

I've decided I'll get somebody else to do the paintwork :D

Wrench shopping will be followed by scotchbrite shopping, a dremel set and a perusal of various compounds and cloths

Need to know basis! Fast approaching the big 40 and my 10 year Retrobike anniversary
