Hi everyone, i've nearly finished my first road bike restoration. The Dawes was originally given to me by my father-in-law to use. I decided to strip it and have it repainted. Whilst the frame was away i searched for Shimano 600 components to go with the existing front & rear mechs and downtube shifters. I also found a pair of new old stock Mavic ceramics and 600 hubs in my local shop (Caygills in Richmond). Steve at Caygills organized the painting and repaired the top tube. Just need some period pedals and that's it done.
