97 Marin palisades trail project

Hello this is my first post on this great site. I have had this Marin from new and it has only been used for riding up and down the paddock at race meetings so its all intact with low mileage. I Have decided to restore Her but i need advice on what sort of front shox would suit her and is it best to keep the fame polished or to repaint it. I want to have the bike finished asap to get to some meetings and have a look at other peoples projects

From an initial look I don't think you need to "restore" your bike. Just give it a good service and ride the thing.

The bike is stripped now the frame is prepared. I will be painting it white at work on Monday. Just deciding what suspension fork and bottom bracket to fit
