I just end up putting Thomson stems on everything as I don’t really like any others……

Seatpost has significant setback and looks good, better than a no setback post. Bike looks good.

So a double wheel deal with a mate today scored me a perfect pair of wheels for this which as mentioned are black 517 on XTR hubs with black spokes.

I actually sold these wheels to him a couple of years ago and he never used them it turns out and I had a couple of pairs he needed and so deals were made.


Just need to sort the other bits now

I love a pair of CrossMax, but on this this, these X517/XTRs are spot on! If you ever find you have too many Psyclones, will you let me know ?

A Thomson Seat post/Stem Combo is nice and understated too- they are quality, but don't detract from the frame being the star of the show (As Joe Breeze would say !)

Agree, the seatpost really suits the bike.
I wouldn't be all that bothered about a matching brand stem, as long as they're complimentary

This post is a cheapo kalloy one and doesn’t really do the frame justice.

Also I would actually quite like to have a roll around on this bike and it makes the reach a little long for me once a retro length stem is fitted.
