95 GT Team LTS? or LTS 1?

So I picked up what I think is a GT Team LTS from 1995. Made in December 94 and no doubt sold in 1995.

Apparently this was given to the seller by one of the sponsored riders in Australia in the 90's. As a result it has no other decals and a stamp of "52" on the bottom tube. I'll polish up and bring back to shop standard decals I think.

Have a NOS Yellow KORE Stem I am going to put on it to lengthen the ride, and it will match well with the Judy's or I may even put on some Manitou Answer2's i also picked up recently.

Will also throw on a Flight Saddle, and some new grips, the group set looks OK, although will look to see what I can scrounge to put on.

Will strip and clean and rebuild with some other bits and pieces. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated?!

One question I have is that "is this definitely a Team LTS or LTS 1"?

Cheers
AB

Nice bike.
The stem is the first thing to change, thats for sure.
I would not go for a Manitou II, they are too old for that kind of frame. The Judy fits just fine.
The rear dampener doesnt look original. I have a feeling, that the bb sits a little too high because of that. Maybe the dampener is a bit too long. I was told, that they often changed the original to a slightly longer version to increase the travel. But I was also told that this modification was no good for the drive characteristics.

Great advice - much appreciated.
It's a RS that's fitted currently, however the guy gave me a fox float that also fits it. Perhaps I will try that.

Would a Manitou Answer 3 be better than the 2? or is it the same issue.

Thanks for your input!

That's likely to be a Team LTS - the main difference is the gusset on the underside of the top tube around the head tube. This had the titanium linkage that was eventually phased out. It probably came with "All Terra" flanking the GT logo on the downtube as well.

The Rock Shox Judy SL forks it has on there now came as standard, and the hot upgrade back then were Speed Springs since the elastomers were pretty rubbish. Or you just gutted the insides out and replaced them with Englund cartridges.

You can check out this bike for reference:
