94 Lava Dome (kind of) - Updated 8/06/11 new pics on p2

You're right the seatposts are long and both well within the minimum insert. I like a smaller frame but am a lanky bastard, so the long posts are a a consequence of my prference for the quirky set up. Doesn't look so strange in the flesh! :)

Oh, an I-Drive..... I bent one of those, just ask 'searchingforscott'!!

Ps, we're riding on the Quantocks this Sunday morning (kick off at 10am), if you fancy stretching your legs.

Thanks for the offer of a trip out on Sunday, but I think we'll be heading out either to S.Wales or Mendip on Saturday.

Didn't manage to bend the I-drive, but did accumulate a couple of spare frames from friends, so if you know anyone who needs spares, let me know!

A 29er isn't a bad idea, but I don't like the look of them in the flesh. I prefer a stupid long seat pin! :D

Anyway, here is the Lave Dome as I bought it, looks tidy enough but basically everything with bearings in wobbles, so some work to be done to turn it into the speed machine it needs to be for my daily commute!

Ah, some welcome relief for my poor eyes after the monstrosities at the top of the thread :-) As everyone knows by now, my favourite Kona model/year/colour, nice to see one that hasn't been too hideously mistreated...

Ha ha, well it is nearly original, but needs a fair bit of work to stop the rattles that are coming from everywhere you find bearings! :)

Here is the Saracen Special Edition.....before anyone says anything about the saddle, my Mum has been riding it for the last couple of years and at 61 she wasn't keen on the original! :)

Spec should be pretty easy to see, as is the rust on nearly every part! I am in two minds as to what to do, try and restore or sell to someone with more time and enthusiasm for a project like this! Open to suggestions, but of course I'll then need to get my Mum a new steed! :D
