89 Raleigh Appalachian (New Pics added 20.12.14)

Re:

Right, finally managed to find some time to spend getting these decals sorted out  . Have been using Serif DrawPlus X5 to re-create the decals and i'm slowly getting to grips with the software and pretty pleased with the results so far. Got everything done apart from the downtube "RALEIGH" decal, have done the easy "LEIH" letters just need to finish off the slightly more complicated "RA&G" now. Here's a before and after pic of where i'm at.

Fantastic work, I really want to see this finished!
You and me both, not long to wait now hopefully  . Took me a bit of time to figure out how to use the software but it's quite simple once you've got the basics figured out.

Wow! Great work :D

Cheers, it's turned out better than I thought it would. Got the 'A' done now, two letters to go!

Re:

Finished at last!

Passed the decal file (after sending various different file types to get one that worked  ) to Nick at Harry LLoyd Cycles for printing and this is what arrived yesterday :D . Managed to find some NOS Reynolds decals on ebay to finish things off too.

Re:

That's a cracking job mate 8)

Well worth the obvious amount of effort you've put in and great attention to detail

Re:

Just checking in to say what a great job you've done there, the decals finish off the bike really well. Colour scheme really dates the frame (I mean in a good way); I recall having a shell suit in similar green & white with pink accents. If only it hadn't been thrown away a couple of decades ago - you could have quite a look going on for retro rides!
