Just checking in to say what a great job you've done there, the decals finish off the bike really well. Colour scheme really dates the frame (I mean in a good way); I recall having a shell suit in similar green & white with pink accents. If only it hadn't been thrown away a couple of decades ago - you could have quite a look going on for retro rides!
Ahh shell suits, what were we thinking  . I wore a shell suit for my first ever proper ride with my local bike club (wasn't even a good one, was a cheap copy from the market  ). I know what you mean about the colour scheme, Raleigh were quite bold with some of there colour choices at times. The Appalachian is positively restrained compaired to some of them though  .

Wow, just Wow! :!: :!: :!:
Cheers bud, thanks for selling it to me and the seatpost karma was much appreciated (turned out the DX post I got was the wrong size  ). All that remains now is to get it covered in mud.

Thanks very much, I've put a lot of effort in to getting this one just right and i'm really pleased with the result and seems a few of you agree :D .

Yes we genuinely do agree that all that time and serious effort you put into it has really paid off and going to all that trouble with the decals was so well worth while because it's those little important details that help make the overall package complete mate 8) 8) .

Re:

Finally got this beauty out for its first ride today. Took it easy by riding some of the local canal paths to find some suitable settings for some nice pics and have a bit of a shake down to make sure everything is working as it should be (which it was). The bike rides fantastically, very smooth, sprightly and fits perfectly. :D
