Currently restoring my little baby.

A few questions or opinions required.

Would you keep it standard or would modest upgrades be ok

I'm thinking of putting some retro front supspension with aheadset on it instead of the standard front set up. Opinions ?

Would fitting modern skewers and QR be ok or should I get my originals re-chromed ?

What about a modern seat because the 93 selle thats on it cripples me... lol.

I would keep it rigid and look around for some period correct parts!

Keep it rigid very nice as is, Jamiedyer on the site has an identical one.

I think a sus fork would kill the geometry! Very nice colours though!

Hi chaps me again.
What would you suggest on the tyre front.
I'm after something cheapish.
I'm after something which will stand plenty of tarmac use

I'm also after something with cream sidewalls as per original but haven't seen anything whatsoever. Does anyone still do them. Would all black tyres still look ok ?

It would be worth finding some tyres from back then. Centre ridges would help on the road. I fancy something like this with a chainstay mounted brake.
