88 Cindercone

Retro Newbie
Eventually found an early Kona in a 16" for my wife - well very early 88 Cindercone.

Totally original and in great condition for year, hubs spin forever, bb spot, in fact this bike has been very well maintained.

Naturally it could do with a really good clean but am thinking about upgrading certain items such as the stem and bars, brakes levers and possibly wheels - as these are very old and somewhat tired. Having never dabbled in any of this before and wanting to keep the bike as original as possible, am after some ideas. Please can someone explain how to place a picture in the message body as do not have a clue.

All my F'in file sizes seem to be too big to attach a pic :(

Damn pain in the ass....

Does Microsoft Office Picture Manager come as standard on most PCs? I never paid for it and it is on mine. I just open the picture on there, go to Edit, click on compress file and select Web Pages. Save and job done. It's the correct size and dimension.

Oxon, you said yourself the hubs spin forever. Check the tyres as they may have suffered in storage. New cable outers and inners should help braking and shifting. If you can rotate the chainrings by 90 degrees.
