531 seat post size

I have a Carlton Professional frame on the way. While I have a bunch of spares, I seem to recall that the frame takes a non 27.mm seat post. Can anyone confirm the correct size?

Carlton Pro should be good old 531 and 27.2mm..........

I saw one chained to a lamp post recently, needing some TLC but very 'saveable'. All Campag NR etc. - and my size!

I did think about hanging around to see who claimed it and making an offer but couldn't afford the time - or the money!

Arrived yesterday, gorgeous in the flesh, takes me back to my yoof and the Pro I raced in SA as a Junior in the '70s
Intending to build with Nuovo Record, which is I what I had on my original one.
Thread will be created for the build once the parts start to arrive. Was going to have it resprayed back as a Carlton Pro, but the paint on it is so nice it feels wrong, so I'll run it in disguise for a while, or band the tubes and apply Carlton decals as an interim measure.

BITD if you asked nice they would supply a frame in other colours than Silver Lustre........... so can't see anything wrong running it in red
