Go for the GT.

For the money you cant go wrong. It'll be a good solid frame, and will definately put a smile on your face.

My Talera put a smile on my face.

But only once.

When I sold it for the same amount I paid for it.

I'd go for one of the Schwinns or actually wait as I reckon you'll get something better for your money.

CTK, i've seen your barracuda project on here, I spent some time looking for one. Would you recommend the steel versions or the aluminum versions? I hear they run 'long' in the top tube, how's the size of your barracuda compare to other bike sizes?

I've been looking at Barracudas on ebay and Craigslist for a while and there are some good deals about. The below one has probably sold but just to give you an idea.

My frame was a bargain too at $100- keep searching! The below webpage searches craigslist and ebay at the same time.

They are longer than normal in the top tube. I'd normally ride a 18" frame I'm thinking/hoping the 16" one I bought will be big enough (22" top tube + suitably long retro stem = same set up as my other bikes)

Oh yeah & I can't recommend either the steel or the alu as I haven't ridden either (yet) :roll: The parts are coming together, slowly but surely
