So I wanted to get out of my comfort zone... I was looking for a time trial frame to build up and this new in the box A-D TT frame came up at the right time at the right price.

First thing was a tour of the inside of the Made In China frame with a iPhone compatible borescope, nothing scarry was found, it's a good quality frame. A nice touch was the conduit running inside the frame and chainstay for the rear derailleur. The bottom bracket (BB86) was actually round and in spec, parallelity of the bottom bracket faces took a little work to get right with most of the work on the NDS.
The three piece threaded bottom bracket is made by Enduro Bearing (UTC-0113) for a Campagnolo Ultra Torque Super Record 11 speed crankset. Installation was painless.

Fitting the fork was next up, I used a Cane Creek 110 integrated headset, Nitto UI-27 17 degree 110mm stem and two carbon spacers (2mm + 8mm) to center the stem on the column lock. the photo below is a mock up just to make sure I'm happy with the fit-up.

So whatzit look like... Here you go!!!

More stuff as it happens: Mike

I was tinkering with the idea of getting a TT bike recently. Never ridden one but I'm flexible and just one of those impulses to get one. I didn't bother in the end so I'll keep an eye on this to see how it turns out!

Brakes are nice, so let's see what I can do. The frame was supplied with TRP direct mount brakes as shown below...

Which mount on cantilever posts as shown below

So this looks like a problem but it's not, www.wanyifabolt.com makes nice accurate 6AL4V titanium bits, they hold the mortgage on my house.
I ordered 4 ea. canti posts and promptly chopped the axel end off and ended up with this, that allows fitment of normal direct mount brakes.

This is what the assembolism (technical term) looks like. The rear is the same and installed without issue (no photos).
The 4ea mounting adapters were installed using epoxy friendly Loctite 222MS low strength threadlocker and torqued to 80"lb.

So the A-D is coming to the end of its mockup phase, next up will be a few coats of wax then we will start assembly.
The really good news is the wheels should show up on Wednesday.

Thank you all for following along on this little adventure: Mike

I havent been able to find them but there was a retro time trial thing going on a few years back. They were doing time trials around Thruxton circuit and not being bound by current time trial regs you could use any of the weird and wonderful TT bikes.
