2007 GT Zaskar Pro

Hey all.

My friend has a 2007 GT Zaskar Pro in good, original condition. He wants to sell and I'm tempted to buy it despite my lack of time, money and storage space!

Does anyone have an idea of a value?

I was going to offer him £250!?

Thanks in advance.

Re:

Well it depends on many things, the state and components.. is it a 26 or 29?

If it's good state, 250 quid is cheap... Zaskar are usually GT high end bikes

Re:

As above, condition is king, but if its decent and does t need a lot of work I'd say try buying an xt/reba shod bike for £250. Its not what people on here would call a classic zaskar as it is more modern, but that brings with it developments and improvements and from what I've read it is a very good, light alloy frame made by kinesis.

26 is dead though (apparently, until marketing says it isn't) so as and when things like wheels and trees start to wear out, you 'may' not find it easy to walk into a bike shop and get things replaced with like for like quality.

If you don't want front suspension you could drop a rigid fork on there and not have to worry about servicing and maintenance.

In short, see if you can get the price down a bit, but if not, I still think its a decent price for a whole lot of bike from back in 2007.
