Very nice bike. What's your opinion on these HS33's....it looks like they are the 4 finger variety? I have just fitted some to my son's Rockhopper and I am wondering whether the back of the blade hits your remaining two fingers, if you only use two finger braking. The brakes feel very powerful to me (his old bike is on Deore discs, and in comparison, even though I have bled the discs and replaced the pads, I'd say the HS33's feel more powerful).

How did you weigh this: have you got a Feedback sports fishing scale for this? Back in 2004, I built up a Giant XTC Team with XTR hubs, 517 rims, DT Comp spokes, Skareb Super forks, Middleburn Duo on a FSA Ti BB, Conti Supersonic tyres, Avid Ti brakes, Thomson, Flite, EA70 bar, XC120 stem with ti bolts etc and it still came in at something like 20lbs. Only way I could have built a lighter bike would have been to start adding carbon to the mix. I seriously regret selling that bike when money was tight, as it rode really well.
