1999 Marin Shoreline Trail Ritchey WCS/XTR finished Pg15

Yep, the brakes were good!

In my defence I’d had a few beers and I’m not used to front suspension dive. That’s all.

it was "The jump that keeps on giving" 9 months down the road and we're still smiling and talking about it

Stodgy, I think with the FSX now on it, a lot of that dive has gone.
We need you to do a jump test on it next year to make sure though! :D

That’s twice now that Our Jimmy has beaten me to the MBUK mint sauce freebie!

Nice work Jimbob - the old mans got enough trinkets to keep him busy for the next 10 yrs so he’ll soon get over it

Yeah, I only pay for it.....

Anyhoo.... it's been a good day for just getting some jobs done... winter tyres on my daughters bike..tick, bit more pressure and get the sag right for me on the Y-Trek (yes it did take quite a bit of extra air  ) tick.

Then on with a problem that's been bugging Our Jimmy's Marin.. namely the front mech cable tends to pop out of the groove guide on the FD-M950 mech when changing up to the big ring, it then sits on the guide when he changes back down, obviously changing the position of the mech slightly... not enough to stop a ride, but enough to make it annoying.. :(

So rummaging around in the parts bin I found an unwanted 2mm thick carbon brake cable stop hanger that I don't mind cutting up, perfect for the job.... ;)
