1998/99 Specialized FSR seat stay needle bearing conversion

Dirt Disciple
This is a Specialized FSR Seat Stay taken off my 1999 FSR Pro

It's in great condition with only the usual wheel scuffs - NO dents, knocks or cracks

I had this professionally converted to run with needle roller bearings instead of the original nylon/rubber bushes.

This was done by BETD and makes so much difference in the rear end handling making it all tight and responsive instead of free play caused by the original bushes wearing out.

This would make a fantastic upgrade.

Re: 1998/99 Specialized FSR seat stay needle bearing convers

are there needle roller bearings in both the top and bottom of the seat stay?
what bushes/bolts woud you need to clamp the lower (A links) to the chainstay?

Yes both the upper and lower have been converted to needle roller bearings.

BETD supply a bolt kit to compliment the needle bearings which replace the OEM setup.
