1997 GT Edge Aero

Well that didn't take long. Don't feel bad @bikeworkshop Today a new project has started.
I found a carbon 52cm Austro Daimler TT frame with caliper brakes, seatpost, and seatpost fairing on Ebay, new for $299.00 delivered. It ticks all the boxes including the WTF factor
2015 New old stock from the shop that tried to resurrect A-D bikes
It's on its way, WOOT.

Cheap and cheerful.
"Eugene Yeh of More Choice Inc does the design work and Dongguan Carbon Sports does the manufacturing; Toray 800 is the carbon type throughout"

Near future project: Mike
the owner of this company lives in my hometown of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. I used to do a group ride, out of the existng shop Cyclemania in Portland/next town over; with sprints (tuesday night 50+ miles and like 4500 ft of climbing and a flat saturday morning ride on the ocean with sprints. his name is Fred Thomas. Ge still races the 60+ field i think.

i no longer do the group rides because we all faded away in the wind years ago mostly. Most of the road races and crits in Northern New England are gone

Fred Thomos was a very dedicated guy, anyone who can revive a long expired mark and survive the experience has my utmost respect.
His line of A-D bikes were interesting, attractive and virtually unknown on the West Coast. But everything I have read indicates the bikes are solid.

There's something about reviving a European mark that was well respected in the 70's and finding an audience to buy it 45 years later is a tough sell when it's made in China with no provenance and only locally raced.

I am willing to take that bet at the price because it's new in the box, so no hidden nightmares from crashing or poor assembly to screw up the joy of assembly. but like the old saying goes... Trust But Verify.

I am excited and looking forward to new experiences, but back to the GT assembly: Mike
