1995 Litespeed Obed

So I recently picked up a relatively cheap ‘95 Litespeed Obed frame and a bunch of irrelevant parts off of eBay.

I had a spare Pace RC200 F8 which is about to undergo some work so figured I’d throw it togther real quick and use it as a pub hack for a couple of weeks, that was until a wiper seal decided to blow out on its maiden voyage.

I’ve since acquired an m900 groupset and a Rock Shox SL Ti fork which should work well on it, decals also already arrived direct from Litespeed.

I had my eye on that. It was a good buy. I did try and find out more info about those Thorn forks without any luck. Like rake, how much they weigh etc

I joined the Thorn group and sold them for £55 on eBay, sold the seat post for £20 so all it it stands me a little over £160 in the end.

It was only an Obed though and not what was advertised.

Fork arrived today, need to dig out my M900 groupset next.

I bid on this too, but only planned to build it as a winter bike so I'm glad it will get proper attention.

That was my original plan to be a winter hack but I’ve enough of those so going to give this one a decent go at.

It may not be to entirely period correct and to everyone’s tastes and high standard but I certainly will at the very least do an appropriate build on it.
