Nice. With a respray and some new decals it would look awesome.

Decals? Yes. Re-spray? I think I'm going to pass. The patina on this one is too personal. Appreciate the thoughts/comments all the same. 8)

since the hammer served as an m900 donor to the more recent thunderbolt, I thought it'd be a good time to send it off to powder coating. Managed to fill a few dings and some chain suck first, luckily without burning down my garage first. Very happy with the way it turned out.

Also, here's a pic of the serial number. Only 4 digits. Maybe odd for a non-Canadian built frame?

One last shot of the original color. Glad I managed to find a very close match to the original match. Should have the frame/fork back next weekend for Hammer 4.0. All XT m73x series. Should be a close match to the original DX kit it came with.

Gil has already supplied the new decals.

Maybe a bit overdue, but felt like putting the final ending to this thread.

Powder coating turned out excellent. The match was essentially perfect relative to the original. Product was made by Prismatic, called "Lazer Burgundy P-4155B".

Decals from Gil we perfect, as expected. The rest of the rebuild went off without much of hitch, really.

Found a few 3DV bits along the way, but not too many.

Spent some time polishing the old headset, before and after pics below. Also polished the hubs and a few other bits.
