Just weighed the Eldridge and it is 24lb 8oz, which I am delighted with as I was expecting 25-26lb. Must be down to upgrading to full XT and the Mavic 217's.

Spot on shaun. Know what you mean about no front suspension though. Looks propa retro. I bet it turned a few heads too.

Very nice restoration. I realy like the 'battle-ship-grey' Marin's. Great to see it with the original red pieces. Great ride

Man, that bike was a good ride back then! Love the pic where it is leaning against the bear... that makes it look even more calli-like

@Whayne: what about a DX series with LX cranks... like i remeber the original spec...
