1993 Marin Bear Valley SE

I've been having loads of fun with my mtb, it's a very different experience from riding a road bike. Since this picture I've changed one part and I added something. Keepin it retro though 8) However, I also ordered some Schwalbe Kojaks which aren't retro but I need more speed and more traction and I like the look of slicks on an mtb.
When the tyres arrive I'll take some pictures that show the little changes I've made.

Nice photos.. oh yeah, and the bike.

First MTB I ever rode was a friend's Marin back in early '92. Haven't riden one since, but it's what got me in. Glad you're enjoying it.

I too owned a matt black Bear Valley, a 92 and not SE. I loved it and would probably still have it if it weren't for a "theiving scumbag (TM)"

I really liked the frame detailing: ring reinforcement of the steerer tube, the nifty rear drop-outs and distinctive parallel chainstays. And the lightest, springiest set of forks out there, the 750g Rockstars.

I'm always on the look-out for a 15.5" one.

nice bike and very nice pictures

no doubt you have got experience and right equipment there

you should have a try at POTM one of these days :)

last picture made me think of "blow out" ( even if the park was on top of a hill with no water).

and the bike for a twenty and a train return ticket  lucky you

Hey I kind of forgot about this topic, haven't visited this topic since I posted the last picture! Thanks for the nice compliments about the bike and the pics, means a lot!

Here are two pictures I took some time ago of how the bike looks these days, with Schwalbe Kojaks, Girvin Flexstem and Lizard Skins bar ends grips!
